Joanna is amazing. She spent an hour with me my first visit as psych doctor and got all my background information. Above all that, the warmth and comfort you feel. You’re safe to open up to her. After purging some of my trauma during first visit. She was able to refer me to a therapist who specializes in certain trauma that I experienced. Anyway you will feel right at home with her. Now to work on the mental health aspects of life. So now I have a primary care doctor and that’s taken care of. Along with a psych med that I take. So I couldn’t be happier. She can prescribe medicine if she sees fit , just in case you’re wondering. She listens to your concerns and goes from there. All in all. Just super convenient. Super friendly. Super caring. What else could you ask for? If you don’t have a psych doctor or a primary doctor Joanna is the one to go to. Perfect location for anyone in lewes or Rehoboth or any surrounding areas. Had a psychological clearance for weight loss surgery. The staff were great and the appointment was laid back and made me feel extremely comfortable. Will be back for a 6 month follow up post surgery and am looking forward to it.

Just recently found out my PCP is no longer accepting Medicare so I began my search for someone new, which is not an endearing experience at my age. Why can’t things stay the same!? As usual she is smiling and very nice then I saw the new nurse Kim( if I got the wrong name sorry) she asks you general questions like what meds you take etc. also very nice and pleasant then you Dr.Joanne she is also smiling she asks how your doing she actually listens to you and looks at you when your talking she takes her time and let's you talk I can talk forever as she makes you feel comfortable it's almost like it's not a Dr'soffice I usually get nervous going to the Doctors but not there it's my 2nd visit there I actually enjoying going there how many people can say that ? With depression still not resolved, Joanna prescribed an additional medication. The improvement has been remarkable!

The NP was very kind and sensitive to my complex medical history as a new patient. I was able to schedule a follow up appt just a few days later to continue understanding my current needs. She is the first physician who actually wanted to read and review the 11 yr medical history I had created. I've seen over 22 different medical professionals over the past 11 years and she is one of only a select few who believed me. So often I have been belittled by various Specialists who just didn't believe there is such a thing as Chronic Lyme Disease. I’ve lived here for 20 years. Recently I became very ill and was struggling to find a physician that would take the time to listen and really go through my medical needs in more than 30 min. Dr. Robertson, greeted me kindly, listened to my needs, reviewed all of my medical history with me, created a plan including my input. This type of care is rare in our area and I consider myself lucky to have found this practice. With limited mental health resources in the area the ability to have one stop shopping and total mind and body support is incredibly helpful. I felt at ease which was not easy due to having my primary doctor for 22 years and my orthopedic doctor for 17 years. So trying to find a new doctor at this stage of my life and having to explain all my physical problems and having to being told things I have to do before I can be helped like a RA doctor or PT things I've been through 22 years ago is like turning back the clock to 2005 and 100's of x-rays and MRIS Body scans surgeries etc. but Joanne actually looks at records and goes from there. That gives me hope. So yes I would refer my best friends to her.

I am fortunate enough to juggle my time between Washington, DC, and Lewes, DE. Recently my experience with my primary care physician in DC had became increasingly frustrating. At the same time her qualifications allow her to treat most anything. The things that are out of her area of expertise, she refers to specialists in the area. They all love Michelle and Joanna, allowing you to get seen sooner than just coming in off the streets. (no promises but that has been my experience) Since becoming a patient, my quality of life has positively increased. I needed something the other day, it was the holiday & I expected to leave a message. Who answered the phone, Joanna. From receiving tailored medication to resolving minor ailments that would have previously required specialist referrals, every aspect of my care has been exceptional. This testimonial may read like an advertisement, but it's simply a heartfelt reflection of my newfound better health and satisfaction. Anytime you can remove an irritant like I was experiencing from your life, you are better off. In these times of such uncertainty, nothing should matter more than your own health and happiness. Joanna is very personable and thorough. She is not the kind of practitioner that throws medicine at you for the sake of it. She looks at your health holistically and prescribes individualized treatment plans. Her office is nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. I wish I would have found her sooner.

I was extremely lucky to find Joanna Robertson since the med. providers I've had before just didn't listen or care. Joanna Robertson doesn't just listen but she genuinely cares about her patients. I highly recommend Joanna Robertson and her office for a medication provider and/or family doctor. The office staff is always nice too. She also has a very nice office.

I am new to lewes and beachfront clinic was the only practice within 40 miles to schedule me before sept. Ms Robertson was extremely thorough , zeroed in on my issues yet did not appear at all rushed as pts commomnly experience this day and age. She was also caring and very knowledgeable. Joanna asks a lot of questions. She is very thorough. On your intake paperwork, she has 3 diagnostic tools to determine if your are depressed or experiencing PTSD. She thoroughly listens to your concerns and offers several solutions for us to decide upon. She is super friendly. She is the best psychiatrist I have had since we moved to the beach 7 years ago; a true gem.
